The SUP Shack was created by Lewis and Sam, two local carpenters who both share a love of water sports after having grown up on the North Norfolk Coast. After paddling together for the past few years and noticing a growing public interest in the sport they love, they decided to bring stand up paddle board rentals to Sheringham, and SUP Shack was born.
Having grown up in Sheringham, Sam has always enjoyed being on the water. Whether jet skiing, paddle boarding, or surfing, he’s taken every opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful Norfolk coastline, and enjoy the stunning Norfolk broads. Keen to see the sport he loves made more accessible in his hometown, SUP Shack allows everyone to enjoy the best of the North Norfolk coast.
Lewis comes from a long line of lifeboatmen, and continues this family tradition himself as a member of the RNLI Sheringham lifeboat crew. Having always been drawn to the water, Lewis has participated in long distance and competitive paddles, culminating in paddling the English Channel from Dungeness to Boulogne in 2018. Making the most of the coastline, regardless of the season, Lewis can be found surfing or paddling near his hometown year round.
